Chaseside Shunter

The Chaseside shutter or "Buffer" tractors as they were also called were built for pushing and moving rail stock around facyory yards. Chaseside builta number of this style of tractor. Two such tractors worked for the "Metal Box Company" based on the Fordson E1A Major. They were more manuable than using a shunting engine as they could easily switch between rail lines within the yard or factory complex.
