The Caterpillar 933F crawler loader was introduced in 1958 in the USA. Production began in Australia the following year.
Specification[]
The 933F has a four-cylinder engine producing 50 hp (37 kW) flywheel (FWHP). It has a direct drive transmission. It comes standard with an integral loader, D4-size undercarriage, and a large bucket.
Modifications[]
In 1961 Caterpillar added a forward reverse lever, beginning with 42A02106 and 25A00201.
In 1965 and 1968 Cat replaced the 933F with the 933G, beginning with 42A06164 (USA) and 25A00558 (Australia).
The 933G has a D320 turbocharged, four-cylinder engine producing 60 FWHP. It also has increased bucket size.

The 933F was;
- Manufactured in the USA, with a 42A serial number prefix
- Manufactured in Australia, with a 25A serial number prefix.
Production of 933G ended in 1968.
Based on data from the sales database of Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers, it is estimated that more than 9,000 Caterpillar 933F/933G crawler loaders have been produced.
