The Case IH 585 low profile was a low profile tractor built by Case IH from 1987 to 1989 in the Doncaster, England factory.

Model historyEdit

See Case IH 585 for general information on the 585.

The Case IH 585 low profile replaced the Case IH 585 Orchard Special. The new model was slightly heavier, probably because of its larger standard rear tires.

Tractor Comparison Edit

The Belarus 400AN low profile developed the same power as Case IH 585. The Deutz-Allis 6250F and Hesston-Fiat 60-66 produced slightly less power from their smaller 3-cylinder engines. The Massey Ferguson 174S and successor 374S were rated higher with their larger 4-cylinder engines. The John Deere 2355N also had more power from its turbocharged 3-cylinder engine.
