Mercury Truck and Tractor Co.
CSJ 655 is an ex RAF airport tender built by Mercury Truck and Tractor Co. undergoing long term restoration in London, UK.
Vehicle history[]
Chassis number 3288 was originally based at RAF Biggin Hill and sold off after the war to Barwick's Scrap Yard in Swanley, Kent. It was rescued in 1990 and since then I have been restoring it to it's original condition. If anyone has any information about this type of vehicle or how to date it please let me know!
- Built in c1935 by the Mercury Truck And Tractor Company
- Operated by the RAF during WWII
- Currently being restored by Adrian Hungerford and his ever helpful dad Mike in Greenwich in London England.
