Bungartz was a German tractor manufacturer, based in Munich founded in the 1920s. The company stared building tractors in 1930's. The firm built smaller compact tractors using a variety of engines. Then after the 2nd world war the firm specialised in vineyard models.

The tractors were powered in common with other German firms by a Hatz Air-cooled diesel engine. The firm also used Deutz and MWM engines for some models. The firm, unlike many other small tractor companies, carried on building tractors till 1974s when they had been taken over by Gutbrod. They continued building mowers for the municipal market. As competition and the growth of larger tractors from international manufactures took over the market in the 1950s, onward Bugartz specialised in the vineyard sector. They had an innovative steering design that allowed the front wheels to turn to nearly 90 degrees allowing very tight turns in the confined space of the line yards.
