A prosperous farmer of San Vicente, Mr. Boffelli, in 1921 acquired the first combine harvester Senor. At the end of 1956, the Boffelli company was born as a result of the initiative of Vicente Boffelli. This became the third combine harvester manufacturer in San Vicente, and was named Boffelli Metallurgical Establishments Srl. The children and grandchildren of Bernardin's founders, (the latter after World War II was closed until a time after that event), and reluctant to return to work in that company, founded Boffelli. For its own reason, "nito" Ambrosino approached the fields of Vicente, with the mission and the message of "creating another factory" despite Vicente's disagreement but so much insistence... he reconsidered his position and began the manufacture of windrowers under his surname.

Boffelli organization[]

The first board was formed in the presidency by Vicente Boffelli; vice president Rogelio Boffelli; José Redo secretary, Exel Boffelli and Celestino Busso titular members; Antonio Ambrosino and Fermin Boretto alternate vocalists; Emilio Sánchez Risa, titular syndic and Rubén Funero, alternate trustee. First with windrowers with power take-off to the tractor and after self-propelled windrowers, manufactured in the workshop of Redo, there were assembled the windrowers. According to Antonio Ambrosino "they armed themselves and they tested themselves very well, they were a success, we went to test them in Boffelli's field, the PTO's were surprised and from there they started to manufacture and the combine was also started, with the J24". It should be noted that the company manufactured the first combine harvester with hopper integrated into the machine, which until before the 70 'was a mere accessory.

Finish and disappearance[]

Economic and trade union crises in the country, truncated the possibility of development (having several opportunities) and subsistence of company, which did not have some political support and this added to vested interests... made the company unfeasible and ended up closing its doors at the dawn of the 80's. Boffelli had 150 employees, and in one year they made 120 harvesters, 150 power take-off rakes, 50 carmakers. 320 machines in total... along with corn heads, sunflower, choppers, spreaders.
