The Bill Richardson Truck Museum is the largest private collection of its type in the world.[citation (source) needed] The Museum is located in Invecargill, South Island New Zealand. The Museum is a private collection started by the late Bill Richardson and carried on by his family, it is open to visitors by appointment only. Bill Richardson was a Haulage contractor and the HW Richardson Group is a large Transport based company in New Zealand.
Presently the museum is home to 210 trucks and 120 petrol bowsers, the Four wheel tractors and five crawler tractors in the collection also reflect Bill’s interest in farm machinery, and the collection is still growing. A large number of vehicle await restoration.
The Museum has vehicles dating from the 1910s onwards with some examples believed to be Unique survivors.
