Astarsa (Astilleros Argentinos Río de la Plata S.A.) was founded in 1927 in San Fernando, Buenos Aires (as a ship builder, and later heavy machinery manufacturerand) closed in 1994.
But in Rivadavia, Cordoba, Argentina. Since 2012, it has been a part of Cor-Vial SA, and a brand used on tractors and construction machinery manufactured by or for Cor-Vial. At one time, the brand was marketed by Macrosa.
Tractors have been built for Astarsa by Zanello (CMZ) in Argentina, while some construction machinery is built in China by Cheng Gong and other manufacturers.
Construction Products include Forklifts, Crawler bulldozers, graders, tracked excavators, skid-steers, wheel loaders and backhoes.
