A modern Ambulance used as an event support vehicle by the St. Johns Ambulance organisation. It is fitted out differently from a health authorities trauma / accident ambulances

Ambulance is a Special Purpose Vehicle that is equipped specifically to cope with its roll of transporting paramedics and patients to hospital ot ptoviding a mobile first aid point at events. Some vehicles are classed as ambulances but are more like specialist Mini buses and are used to transport patients with none life threatening conditions to and from hospital who have mobility problems and they are equiped with wheel chir lift and or ramps for access and special seats or anchor points.
