Agrip of Lignieres, France started in 1950 converting war surplus WWII American Jeeps for farm use by fitting diesel engines and larger rear wheels. Later they started building larger tractors utilizing war surplus truck axles. They then built larger articulated tractors mainly for forestry work and industrial applications. AGRIP built 4WD tractors into the 1970s

In 1982 it was sold to Cemet Company, a subsidiary of Renault Agriculture, and renamed Cemet-Agrip. In 1986 it was sold again to Rauma-Repola of Finland.
