The AXJ 857 was a Leyland Titan TD3 Bus Chassis built by Leyland Motors Ltd in 1934
Vehicle history[]
Originally supplied to Manchester Corporation Bus company it has had its body work removed (probably following accident damage) and was being restored as a teaching aid to show the layout of the major components. It was used fro training apprentices but is now resident in the Museum of Transport in Manchester collection and used to show visitors the major layout of a typical bus drive train and identify the major parts.

Few details of information on this vehicles history in preservation are available. Obtained by the Greater Manchester transport Society for use as a visual aid for educational purposes from the Manchester Corporation.
